First Foods

Well Drakkin has gotten the ok to start eating baby food, and we deceided to start with Sweet Potatoes. The result is he loves them. Every day he is doing something cute and learning a new trick to show off. His latest trick is to stiffen like a board and act like dead weight.

Drakkin deceided that his safety blanket is his fleece animal one he will eat on it and smile for hours , but take it away and the dragon roars and gets really upset.

Sick Baby

Well Drakkin has been sick for 2 weeks and is finally getting over it and acting normal now. He can almost sit up by himself and his appetite is returning to normal. It seems everyday I go to work he grows a bit more by the time I get home.

Drakkin got his first box and at first thought maybe he was getting shipped out, but soon discovered he was going nowhere and deceided it was play time.

He does cute things almost every day and its hard to catch them all in pictures, so here are a few more.

Bath Time

Drakkin really loves his bath time. This is the one time of the day he really looks forward to. I am sure if it was up to him he would spend hours in his tub splashing away and talking. Even after his shots this was the one thing that he was happy about.

Dr Visits and Shots

Today Drakkin was taken in for his immunization shots, what a trial. The doctors visit went just fine. He is in the 50Th percentile for head size, but only 15Th for length and 25Th for weight so he is still small but normal. Drakkin is healthy and still gaining weight ( thank you Rachael and Patti.)

The doctor said he is a bit ahead on his development as he smiles, coos, and laughs already. He follows movement with his eyes and will crane his neck to see something that catches his interest. Normally he is attracted to things that have bright contrasting colors like his favorite toy a stuffed bug that rattles.

The time came for his shots and up to this point Drakkin was happy smiling and talking to daddy. Suddenly there was a series of pokes on his legs and the smiles ended in a typhoon of tears and crying like daddy has never seen before. Fortunately daddy brought a pacifier and the crying subsided in about 5 Min's and we were on the way home. The rest of the evening Drakkin was sleeping, but would wake up crying most likely because his legs hurt. Even his normal playful mood in the bath was missing, but he was calm and even smiled a bit.

Daddy is NOT looking forward to doing this again in 2 months (sigh) but it will get done, maybe he can get mommy to go next time.
